In the mid 1970’s, Outlaw Motorcycle Clubs were at their height in Australia, primarily Melbourne. Vigilanties Forever explores one of the very first of these clubs, The Vigilanties MC, and its formation at the hands of two brothers, Dane and Rex, and a handful of young men from the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. As the club heads towards its 50^th year in 2018, the film looks at the cultural shift that took place in Melbourne in the late 1960’s to allow ‘bikie clubs’ to take root and the tumultuous first decade of The Vigilanties MC from its formation to being the biggest and most notorious club in the mid 70’s and its involvement in the iconic Aussie Film Mad Max.
