In the mid 1970’s, outlaw motorcycle clubs were in every major Australian city, most notably Melbourne. Vigilanties Forever explores one of the very first of these clubs, The Vigilanties MCC, and its formation at the hands of two brothers, Dane and Rex, and a handful of young men from the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne.

As the club heads towards its 50th year, the film examines the cultural shift that took place in Melbourne in the late 1960’s to allow ‘bikie clubs’ to take root and the tumultuous first decade of The Vigilanties MCC; from its formation, to being the biggest and most notorious club in the mid 70’s and its involvement in the iconic Australian Film, Mad Max.
